When Miami Subs announced a partnership with Pitbull and a revamp of its restaurants, the South Florida fast-food chain really went to town. A launch party featured the hometown rapper and renovated restaurants. And now there’s a Latin-fusion menu.

The menu has been launched in time for National Hispanic Heritage Month — which isn’t technically a month but a 30-day period from September 15 to October 15.
The menu includes a Cuban sandwich ($3.99 for a six-inch, $5.99 for a 12-inch); a roast pork sandwich, marinated in mojo and served with sautéed onions, pickles, and potato sticks ($3.99); tostones ($1.99 for five, $3.49 for nine); yellow rice ($.99); a Havana burger ($5.29); and guava cheesecake ($1.69). To drink: Materva and Jupiña ($1.69), of course.

Sure, you can get authentic Cuban food on almost every block in Miami. But
does it come with Pitbull? That’s the musical question Miami Subs is
asking.
If you’d like to try the new Latin-fusion menu, why
not do it with Mr. 305 himself? From now until September 21, the sub
chain is holding a Facebook contest
where the winner and a guest will receive tickets to a Pitbull concert
and have lunch with the rap star. We figure Armando Cristian Pérez (you didn’t think his mom named him Pitbull, did you?) to be a
pork man with a large side of tostones.
