We’re not saying heavy metal is the devil’s music, but if Satan doesn’t have a Pantera tape or two in his boombox, then the world’s really gone to hell. And if your feet feel like they’re already on fire, conquer your destiny this Saturday at the fourth annual Kryptonite Metal Fest at Tobacco Road. Beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday, 23 bands will play four stages. And if you like the sound of women screaming, one of them is even dedicated to the chord-ripping ladies of the dark side. Don’t miss sets by Upheaval, Hate Machine, Dissever, and Paralysis, who all throw down the growl with the fury of an earthquake in Babylon. Not a headbanging fan? Consider this: Metal is often extremely technical, includes advanced time signatures, and attracts musicians of the highest caliber. Behold the guitar wizardry, dime-stop breakdowns, and low-ends that drop somewhere in the underworld. And do it at the oldest bar in Miami.
