All these and more are now in my personal collection of cosplayers. I went out to Florida Supercon 2016 to see Saturday’s sold-out event dressed as Pokemon’s Misty on a mission to catch all the superfans, and I think I broke my PokeDex trying to identify the 60,000-plus revelers.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Deadpool creator Fabian Nicieza, Star Trek‘s beloved OG Chekov Walter Koenig, and my personal adolescent hero, Kel Mitchell. Also, it turns out Misty is quite the popular costume. There were a lot of dudes in orange wigs rockin’ the red suspenders better than I did.

We had so much fun roaming the convention center floor that we never even made it to the event spaces. That’s just how it rolls at Supercon. There’s way too much to see and do for one mere mortal. That’s why you’ve got to come prepared and stay all four days. I’m just glad I succeeded in my quest. See you next year!
