A Florida East Coast train struck a man this morning near NE 4th Court and 82nd Street in El Portal. Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes said she had no more information on the accident: “It’s man versus train, that’s all I have right now.”
We will update as soon as we have more information on the accident or its victim.
UPDATE: The unknown victim was taken to the hospital with “life threatening injuries” after failing to move out of the way of the train, says an FEC spokesman.
“The individual was walking along the tracks. Our engineer blew the horn and the individual didn’t move,” FEC spokesman Bob Ledoux told New Times.
