Do you have grand dreams of going to Paris? Want to tour the Louvre, climb the Eiffel Tower, visit the Arc de Triomphe? Well, too bad, because you’re broke, and transatlantic flights are pricey. But the Colony Theatre (1040 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach) is offering the next best thing. This Friday and Saturday, performances of Paris, on T’aime will take audiences to Versailles, Notre Dame, and other places throughout the City of Lights.
For the first time in the United States, authentic French troupe De Temps en Temps will honor its country’s capital through dance, comedy, and extravagant illustrations and costumes. During the troupe’s short stint in Miami, the Colony Theatre will double as the Moulin Rouge, putting you as close to Paris as you can get without spending eight hours in an airtight tube hurtling across an ocean.
Tickets cost $25, and performances begin at 8:30 p.m. Call 305-674-1040 or visitspectacles-detempsentemps.fr/en.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,800 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
