As the primary songwriter of megahits such as Usher’s “Yeah!,” Chris Brown’s “Run It!,” Ciara’s “Goodies,” and, most recently, Mario’s “Break Up,” hip-hop producer Sean Garrett is one of the decade’s guiding forces in music, penning 15 number one hits. (He’s rumored to be working on an album with Whitney Houston. Let’s hope he can pass along some of that Billboard karma to that diva train wreck.) But unlike other writas-ternt-sangas such as Ne-Yo and The-Dream, Garrett hasn’t found the same success behind the mike as he has behind the pen.

His debut album, Turbo 919, was a mere blip on the pop radar; nonetheless, Garrett is pushing ahead with new solo material. His upcoming single, the Tyga and Gucci Mane collaboration “She Geeked,” is already one of the hotter songs of the summer.
