Lilith Fair’s August 10 tour stop at Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach features Gossip, Corinne Bailey Rae, Norah Jones, Court Yard Hounds, Sia, Sarah McLachlan, Martina McBride, the Rescues, Ceci Bastida, Katzenjammer, and the winner of a local talent competition judged by fans.

Artists must submit their finest original song to the Lilith Local Talent Search by May 22 to get a shot, and everyone attending the concert will want to weigh in at the same spot.

Now, New Times Broward-Palm Beach is making a subtle suggestion that Rachel Goodrich and her ukelele would make for a good act to represent us locally, but there are plenty of others who can set the tone in different ways. Local metal outfit BitchFire, the punk fury of Flees, or electro-goths Kill Miss Pretty all would leave a lasting statement and probably singe even a part-time punk like Norah Jones’ eyebrows.

We got the ball rolling, now fill up that comments section with other female-fronted acts worthy to join the Lilith bill.
