Cameo is to Washington Avenue what sand is to the beach. And Saturday night’s YMCMB party proved it.
StrongArm DJ Entice celebrated a birthday, Flo Rida got hype, and the Young Money crew bought so many bottles that the club ran out of sparklers. Even Gucci Mane came through stunting.
We never did see Birdman. He was hiding out. But his friends, like Lil Wayne, were in full force. And so were all these other party animals.
People started showing up outside the club at 10 p.m., because ladies got in free with one complimentary drink till midnight.
But nobody really started getting in till around 11:30. Here’s what the back of the line looked like.
The police were heavy on the streets and making friends.
Once inside, the drinks started flowing and the crowd began to get loose.
The bass began to pound, dancers started dancing, and people hollered at their friends.
Then DJ Entice hit the booth, the music got louder, the club got more packed, and the party really got started.
Flo Rida was there popping bottles with his StrongArm crew.
And VIPs all over were getting table service.
Everybody wanted their picture taken.
And then Gucci Mane showed up.
Lil Wayne was there too.
And then before we knew it, the sun was on its way up. And the party was over.
