There are still a few days left before you take a bite of a turkey leg or dive elbow-deep into a bowl of stuffing, but nevertheless the holidays are here. Soon you’ll be unwinding coils of twinkle lights, chucking tinsel across a pine tree, and best of all, shopping. We know, this time of year is about being with the ones you love, but trust us, they’ll love you a bit more if you show up at their door with something gift-wrapped and fabulous. And since the hustle and bustle of the mall is enough to turn you into the Grinch, take your shopping list to the Honey Shine Holiday Bazaar and knock it all out in one day.
The Pinecrest Key West Estate will overflow with vendors hawking handbags, swimwear, jewelry, beauty products, and plenty more that you’ll be dying to shake your checkbook at. And when your accountant or cheapskate husband tries to give you hell for spending so much, let him know that 15 percent of the proceeds will benefit Tracy Wilson Mourning’s Honey Shine Mentoring Program. They’ll just have to accept the fact that those fab shoes you bought are giving support and opportunities to a young girl who might not otherwise have them. We’ll shop to that. The bazaar takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and admission is free.
