With all the brouhaha surrounding women in comedy, you’d think at least one ferociously funny comedienne would grace the roster of the fifth annual South Beach Comedy Festival. Wrong. The fest’s testosterone-packed lineup features a bunch of male jokesters who are making their way through the ranks of the nation’s most celebrated funnymen. They will tell tales of their genitals and getting high. You can bet on it.

Kicking off the festival this Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Mike Birbiglia will charm laugh-seekers at the Lincoln Theatre (541 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach) by telling salty-sweet anecdotes about sleepwalking and making awkward situations, er, even more awkward. Also during the weekend-long grin-a-thon, you can catch Joe Rogan at the Lincoln Theatre, Aziz Ansari at the Colony Theatre (1040 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach), and Gabriel Iglesias at the Fillmore Miami Beach (1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach). For those who like their laughs hard and free, there’ll be nightly shows on the Lincoln Road Stage at Euclid Avenue, home to the festival’s free outdoor comedy series.
