The New York Times’ recent odd reports of Marco Rubio’s traffic tickets and personal finances have caused something even stranger. Even the most progressive voices are rallying around Rubio to critique the Times’ stories. Even Jon Stewart got into the fun last night, wondering, “How is this front-page news?”

Stewart first took on the traffic ticket story, which claimed that *gasp* Rubio has gotten four traffic tickets in the past 17 years. Stewart joked that the Times must have gotten the information from Rubio’s plaque in “the hall of best Miami drivers ever.”

Stewart also took issue with the Times‘ description of Rubio’s house as having “oversized windows.”
