It seems like only yesterday that the first food trucks rolled out in Miami, but leave it to chef Jeremiah Bullfrog to remind us how quickly time flies. His retro GastroPod Airstream is celebrating its fifth anniversary and the chef has decided to celebrate that milestone by going big.
The chef is participating in two Art Basel-related eating venues, each with its own specific theme and delicious menu.

First off, GastroPod will set up shop in Wynwood at 160 NW 26th St., turning a shipping container into a kitchen, named GastroPod 2.0.

The truck-turned-container will pay homage to the classic Quentin Tarantino film, Pulp Fiction with a menu of Big Kahuna burgers ($10), five-dollar shakes (that are, coincidentally, $5), fries that can be drowned in mayo ($4), and “some serious gourmet shit” coffee. (In other words, cold-brewed Panther for $4 a cup,)
GastroPod 2.0 will be open Wednesday-Sunday from 3 to 11 p.m., daily.
In addition, GastroPod is the official caterer of Miami Project, located across from Target in Midtown. There’s a grab-and-go cafe offering gourmet sandwiches, Panther coffee, and salads, but what’s cooler is the pop-up noodle bar concept, Noodle Head.
At Noodle Head, you’ll be able to choose from five different, fresh hand-made noodle shapes, choose from five different sauces, and add garnishes. Nine bucks gets your choice of noodle (spaghetti, pappadelle, radiatore, torchio, or rigatoni) and sauce (brisket ragu, carbonara, ramen broth, kale pesto, or primavera). For $3 extra each add a soft egg, roast pork, veggies, kimchi, or XO sauce.
Miami Project is open Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets range from $25-50 and can be purchased at miami-project.com.
