It’s always nice when the good Dolphins show up. Most important, good Ryan Tannehill. Good Ryan Tannehill showed up Sunday.
Tannehill was laser-accurate, completing 25 of 32 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns in a better-than-the-score-indicates-yet-still-booty-clenching-at-times 27-14 Miami Dolphins victory.
Tannehill didn’t do anything overly explosive in the game. Nothing that will make SportsCenter. No late-game comebacks or drama. Just damn good QB play from the Dolphins signal caller. For a week at least, the temperature of Tannehill and his coaches’ seat will turn down from hot to warm.
The win gets the Dolphins back to .500 on the year, at 3-3, and allows them to keep pace with both the Bills and Patriots, which both won this week.
Finally, Tannehill strung together the complete game everyone has been waiting for. Not only that, but he also did it on the heels of a nice last two quarters against the Packers last week, making his last six quarters look damn near Peyton Manningish:
Mike Wallace continues to have quiet stat lines that include a TD. Wallace scored once again Sunday, finishing with five catches for 46 yards. If Tannehill and Wallace can figure out how to connect on the regular, things could go very well for the Dolphins the rest of the way.
