For every phrase that results in someone gasping, “That would make a great band name,” there’s an equally lazy epiphany that happens when bands wind up with names such as the Devil Wears Prada, !!!, and Gringo Star. Luckily, the last, a group of Atlanta-based rising indie stars, boasts more than a derivative moniker. The four-piece melds gritty rural garage-rock tones with imported British pop, adding a distinct Kinks-like jumpiness to create a solid classic style. Openers the Beauvilles offer straight-up Brit-pop laced with tinges of David Bowie, if he had been a teen in the mid-’90s.
