Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures Miami New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
In a city as rife with rudeness, excess, and immorality as Miami, we could all use a little more do-goodery in our lives. So Philanthrofest is a welcome respite from our lives of sin. This annual event champions the hundreds of philanthropic organizations working to make Miami a better place.
Thank God someone’s on top of it.
You can get your good karma on with a whole host of organizations. Aid the homeless with the Chapman Partnership, help kiddos with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, save a life by donating to OneBlood, or help honor Mother Nature with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center. Whatever tugs at your heartstrings, you’re bound to find it here.
And there’s more to the afternoon than just charitable giving. Attendees can listen to music, check out performances and demos, shop at vendors, nosh on goodies from food trucks, and get into a bunch of fun family activities. That oughta get just about anyone excited about giving back.
