During Thanksgiving Live, a live holiday cooking special on Food Network, Giada De Laurentiis cut her finger badly, causing the beautiful television personality to leave the set and get stitches from an onsite medical team.
De Laurentiis was filming the special with Alton Brown, Bobby Flay, and Ina Garten when the chef accidentally sliced into her finger while cutting a turkey roll. The show cut to commercial while De Laurentiis sought medical attention. About 15 minutes later, she returned to the show, according to Radar Online.
The day began well enough, with De Laurentiis tweeting a video of the elaborate set, filled will all manner of Thanksgiving delights:

Alton Brown retained the levity of the situation, tweeting that the cast found the tip of the injured digit in the stuffing (yuck):
