It’s not enough for Dwyane Wade to remind the world what an unstoppable badass he is. He’s got to do it in front of a record crowd in Texas. D-Wade won his first career NBA All Star Game MVP award two weeks ago, leading the East to a 141-139 victory over the West in front of 108,713 fans at Arlington’s Cowboys Stadium. Wade led the East with 28 points, 11 assists, and 5 steals.
“To be able to perform in front of a crowd like that, I know that. I know I can do it, I’ve done it before,” Wade told the press afterwards. “To be able to put on a show like that and to get the win, and to make key plays down the stretch was what I like.” Wade’s reward for such a stellar performance playing alongside guys like LeBron James and Chris Bosh? To return to Miami and play alongside guys like Mario Chalmers and Rafer Alston! Yipes.
