Judging by his affinity for booze, a laid back lifestyle and the occasional sexcapade, we’re pretty sure The Dude would approve of Miami. So it’s a fitting tribute to spend Sunday night on one of the city’s best pool decks, drinking, eating and watching him in all his boozy, bowling alley-obsessed glory.
The free Big Lebowski screening is part of a new event series, Indian Creek Drive In, at the Freehand Miami. Every Sunday they’ll be showing indie and cult classic flicks on their epic outdoor patio and offering themed drinks and food specials. This week, it’s all things Big Lebowski.

Cocktails will be created by the dudes at the Broken Shaker, which is on site at the Freehand.
“We want to bring the drive-in kind of feel back to Miami,” Broken Shaker co-owner Elad Zvi says. “Back in the day it was all about the drive in.”
The screen will be set up outside, between the pool and ping pong tables, so attendees can get their ping pong on, lounge by the pool or just sit and booze it up.
“We’ll try to find a perfect alcoholic beverage that’s going to go well with the movie, and the chef is going to get inspired from the movie to create the dish,” Zvi says of the upcoming menu creations.
This week they’ll be following in the footsteps of the Dude.
“The guy freakin’ loved White Russians, so we’re gonna do like a crazy White Russian cocktail and tweak the recipe. It’s not going to be your average White Russian — it’s going to be more like a fresh, mixology approach,” Zvi promises.
As far as food, think bowling alley-inspired items. And free popcorn, natch.
The movie is free, and the eats and drinks will be available for purchase at a special price.
The Dude abides. And so should you.
