It’s Monday, and there’s a Garfield-esque attitude going around. But after a few cups of coffee and a donut or two, we’ll be better able to resign ourselves to 40 more hours of workaday drudgery. In the meantime, you can get through the morning by planning your extracurricular activities for the next five days.
From free mojitos to Art Deco madness, there are plenty of free ways to fill those after-work hours. Check ’em out after the jump.
Tuesday
- Mojito Tuesdays at La Epoca: Free booze and live entertainment to make the work week a little more bearable.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Wednesday
- Eat to Heal Workshop at Doral Library: Learn how to feed your face to beat the flu and other nasty bugs.
Thursday
- Drink and Draw Miami at Deli Lane: Your artistic abilities are bound to improve after downing a few drinks, so why not see what kind of masterpiece you can come up with?
Friday
- Art Deco Weekend on Ocean Drive: Pay tribute to the era of Al Capone and pastel hues with a parade, lectures, exhibits and more.
