Free Events This Week in Miami: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Bebe Rexha, and La Bare

Monday

• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade in Liberty City: Celebrate Dr. King at the annual parade, featuring high-school marching bands, athletes, cheerleaders, floats, cars, and fire trucks bearing local politicians, union leaders, and activists, plus carnival dancers and music.

Tuesday

• The Magicians at Cosford Cinema: Catch a screening of the new original SyFy show based on Lev Grossman’s bestselling book series, plus a live performance by singer Bebe Rexha.
  
• Roberto Rovira: Every Eden – Undressing Nature’s Fashion at Books & Books Bal Harbour: Explore Florida’s winter flora through the lens of art, nature, and technology with award-winning landscape architect Roberto Rovira. 
  
• Stand for Hope Concert at Barry University: Sponsored by the School of Social Work and the Center for Human Rights and Social Justice, this concert benefiting human-trafficking awareness and education features speakers and performances by Butterfly, Latin Roots, Fulano de Tal, and Erica Sommer.
  

Wednesday

• The Boy Friend at SoundScape: Catch the 1971 British-American musical comedy directed by Ken Russell and starring Twiggy, Christopher Gable, and Tommy Tune.
  
• Fashion Project Book Club at Books & Books Bal Harbour: This month’s book discussion is the classic Seeing Through Clothes, by Anne Hollander, which approaches fashion through an art historical lens.
