Do you remember a particular post we made on Friday, Jan. 30 2009 at 11:02AM? Of course you do, because ever since then you’ve been waiting eagerly for Bob Smith to enter the Senate race.
Bob Smith, of course, has already been a Senator. In New Hampshire, a State about as large as Broward County. Does that even count?
He also ran in the 2000 Republican presidential primary, in the 2004 presidential election as an independent, lost his New Hampshire seat in 2002 by losing the primary, and flirted with running for Senate again from Florida in 2004.
Now, according to The Hill, he will run for the Senate seat Mel Martinez is vacating in 2010:

“It’s time for Republicans to start acting like Republicans again!” Smith wrote to supporters.
Do you hear the Charlie Crist? Should Crist enter the Senate race, this guy has no chance. Oh, who are we kidding. This guy has no chance. At the very least, hopefully, his campaign will prove to be entertaining.
