Quickfast breakfast options from the Biscayne corridor south through Buena Vista, Little Haiti, Wynwood, and Omni are severely limited. The offerings open up around downtown, but other than that the market is wide open for a cheap short order joint. Who will step up to the plate?
Europa Cafe is a nice coffee shop with sandwiches, baked goods, a good drink selection, a flat screen plasma, and comfortable chairs. Europa Café operates alongside a carwash at a Chevron gas station on an unassuming corner of Biscayne Boulevard and 61st street with little to no exterior signage. It’s like stumbling onto a secret Starbucks.
We stopped in for a quick sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese on a muffin), and a medium coffee. Total cost was $4.25. Sure a fast food drive through would’ve been cheaper, and probably not much different, but this place is cooler, and has more options. Check it out.
