Witch house is one of those genres of music you have to be pretty keen to notice, but the payoff is great if you dig deep melodies, dark atmosphere, and the kind of rhythms usually relegated to baby-making R&B. Basically, this is the sexiest shit you’ll ever bang in a cemetery to, and you should probably get in on it.
As it turns out, one of the niche genre’s big names, oOoOO, is coming to rock your socks off this Friday at Gramps (176 NW 24th St., Miami). Well, maybe it’s better to say he’s coming to groove your bones, because his sound is more sinister sensuality than raucous rabble-rousing. This is good date music — if your date isn’t afraid of introspective musicality and goth-tinged aesthetics.
