Conrado Viera has a mobile hot dog hustle that takes him to about 25 or 30 locations a day for about 30 minutes at a time starting at about 8 in the morning. He says, “Yo ando todo aca en NW en todo partes de Wynwood.” He sells sausage, hot dogs, chips, juice, soda and sno cones. He bought his cart completely stripped, fixed it up, and readied it for the streets himself. He spends only $10 a week in gas for it. As far as the economy, Conrado says that business is “abajo bastante” (significantly down), but that all he has to do to make up for it is work an extra two hours a day. “Just gotta work more and have good prices,” he says. Here are some pictures of Conrado and his gas powered hot dog cart.
