We usually get so drunk and high on Memorial Day weekend that we forget what happened. We have the odd flashback of doing tequila shots with a stripper from Nebraska and waking up in the fountain at the Fontainebleau. Last year, we think we might have tried doing stand-up comedy and everyone just told us to sit down.
Fuhgeddaboutit. We’ll have a Coke and whiskey and leave it to the professionals at the fourth annual Memorial Weekend Comedy Festival at the James L. Knight Center. Rickey Smiley, Don “D.C.” Curry, George Wilborn, Rodney Perry, Donnell Rawling, Lady Roz G, and Shawty Shawty will be in the building. We have front-row tickets and will probably get made fun of all night, but that’s OK — we’ll be so wasted we probably won’t remember.
