Clubbing is typically a selfish exercise in overindulgence. I wanna party! I wanna do shots at the bar! I’m gonna shake my ass all night long! I think I might go home with a stranger! It’s all about me, me, me. This weekend, as you hit the hotspots and guzzle intoxicating liquids like there’s no tomorrow, we implore you: Please think of the children. We’ll make it easy for you. All you need to do is bring a new, unwrapped toy to any of the participating venues in the Miami New Times Toy Drive, and we got your back. That means no cover charge during certain hours and free Asahi beer for anyone with a charitable bone in his or her body. So which clubs are on the list? Almost all of the coolest ones, we’re happy to report.
If you want to go on a debauched Santa run of free admission and free booze, you could start from 10 p.m. to midnight at The Vagabond, or Jazid, Transit Lounge, Tobacco Road, Churchill’s, or White Room. The fun begins at 11 p.m. and ends at 1 a.m. at Pangaea, Gryphon, Mansion, AeroBar, Heathrow, Dream, and Dolce. In fact there really are too many places to list. We recommend you plan your evening wisely by visiting www.miaminewtimes.com/promotions. Don’t forget your new, unwrapped toy — all donations will go to the abandoned, abused, and neglected foster children of CHARLEE. Visit www.charleeprogram.org to learn more about the youngsters who could use a smile this time of year.
