Just as he does every year, Old Saint Nick is coming to the City Beautiful to hold court over Merrick Park just across the street from Coral Gables City Hall. On Friday, he will be at the epicenter of fun and exciting activities for the entire family, such as carnival games and rides, face painting, arts and crafts, the stage presentation of Miami Childrens’ Theater, Maria Verdeja School of the Arts, Actors’ Playhouse, Center Stage Dance Center and much more. At 7 p.m. Santa Claus will show up to preside over a Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be food, games and prizes and the opportunity to take pictures with Santa that night from 7:30-10 p.m.
Merrick Park will turn into a winter wonderland Dec. 24.
