Dolphins QB Chad Pennington is done for 2009, according to ESPN. Sources tell the network he’s been “initially diagnosed with a torn capsule in his throwing shoulder and the Dolphins expect him to miss the rest of the season.”
Pennington was injured early in the second half of yesterday’s loss to the San Diego Chargers.
It’s more bad news for an already struggling Dolphins squad, and now backup QB Chad Henne is expected to take the reins for the rest of the season.
The only good news is that hopefully Pennington will at least get a get-well-soon card from J.Lo.
