Thanks to a phase in our youth when we decided to follow in the footsteps of musical legends and experiment — yet never with music — many memories play back in our minds like fuzzy, old black-and-white westerns. But one incident that will forever be in Technicolor is the time our taste buds turned from boys to men: the first time our tongue touched alcohol. What began as innocent, pure love soon became an obsession. As with a new lover, we were turned on by the constant sex on the beach and the hot summer nights with Long Island iced teas. Alas, all love hurts, and thanks to the hooch, in the near future there just might be an icebox where our liver used to be. But real love never dies, and we’ll never stop searching for new ways to get sauced, so tonight you’ll find us at Pascal’s on Ponce for BYOB Mondays.
For one night a week, the Coral Gables restaurant waives the corkage fee and doesn’t impose any limitations, as long as you bring your own. So pack up one of those bottles that’s been aging in your cabinet, and some friends, and forget about Pascal’s award-winning wine list, because for one night only, you’ve got it covered.
