Beacon Hill Chocolates has opened in Miami’s MiMo District. Located at 6319 Biscayne Blvd. (adjacent to Starbucks), the charming shop is reminiscent of a quaint chocolatier that might be found in Paris. The well-lit store is small, but it’s packed with confectionery gems ranging from gummies to locally made jams.

The shop has a good selection of Halloween-themed truffles that feature flavors of the season, like pumpkin, blood orange, and nutmeg. The creations are absolutely gorgeous and elaborate, and although there are the requisite pumpkins, look for unique designs.

The truffles range in price from $2.50 to $4 and are sold individually or in gift boxes, starting at $10 for a four-piece box.
The truffles are also sold with the shop’s handmade keepsake boxes. A tiny box that holds one precious truffle costs $8.50. A four-piece box is $18, a box with a dozen truffles goes for $36, and a 30 piece box is priced at $64. Right now, the shop has a lovely selection of vintage-style Halloween boxes, and beginning as early as next week, BHC will offer Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes.
There are also some Miami-centric boxes, which would make a good gift for your friend up North who’s really sick and tired of your annual box of grapefruit.
Beacon Hill Chocolates also offers gelato in flavors like pumpkin spice, latte, and maple bacon. A small cup costs $3.95, a medium cup is $4.95, a large cup runs $5.95, and a pint is $11.95.
