This Thursday through Sunday, if you visit the corner drugstore to pick up some toothpaste or wait for public transportation to whisk you to work, you’ll likely be surrounded by eye-popping art. That’s because Art Basel Miami Beach has parachuted into town once again, converting the 305 into a colossal art installation sprawling from South Beach to Wynwood, not to mention an eclectic arsenal of fantastical art appearing on land, bobbing in our waterways, and flying in the air.
At the Miami Beach Convention Center (1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach), 260 of the world’s elite galleries are showcasing cutting-edge and museum-quality masterpieces by more than 2,000 artists.
