$7,500

Sometimes you need a home-cooked meal. And if you don’t have a private chef or a doting mate on hand, going out to eat is your best bet. So get stoked for this week’s Asian Love-a-Fare at Lester’s — a lovingly prepared palate pleaser.

Wynwood favorite Chef Jah teamed up with Nick Mencia of Real Sorbet to bring a four-course dinner to Lester’s this Thursday evening. Guests will sip craft beers and nosh on Asian-inspired eats such as kimchee-stuffed spring rolls and mango beef skewers.

For $40, attendees will score four courses (including a vegetarian option). There’ll be craft beer pairings by the Lester’s crew, fresh produce from Urban Oasis, and, of course, tasty sorbet.

We won’t reveal the entire menu, but guests can expect avocado purée, wasabi sweet aioli, shrimp with pineapple and red pepper, and coconut vanilla sorbet.

“[Chef Jah] just approached with the idea, and I’ve been helping develop it. We’re looking to do it every month and vary the themes,” Mencia says.

The dinner will run from 6 to 10 p.m., and guests can arrive at their leisure.

“Everything is included. We wanted to keep the price down so that it could be a cool thing for the neighborhood. People can come in; if they’re working, come in afterward — whatever the case may be,” Mencia adds.

Check out the event details on Real Sorbet’s Facebook page, and attendees can use the hashtag #loveafare to follow the action.
