First lady Michelle Obama stopped by Miami yesterday afternoon to announce that the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the National Recreation and Park Association would be serving more fruits and vegetables during after-school programs as part of her anti-childhood obesity initiative.
FLOTUS, however, was joined by a secret surprise guest: Amy Poehler, the star of NBC’s Parks and Recreation.
“If you play a character with a certain career long enough people will actually treat you as if you have that job,” quipped Poehler in her introduction of the First Lady.

“Parks play a vital role in our lives …Just ask yourself this question: Without parks, where would we put all the swings? It would be in the middle of the road,” Poehler added.
She also added that the “Let’s Move” initiative has been more successful than her own fledgling “Let’s help me move” initiative.
