Alex Sink waited to release her fundraising total for the second quarter until Friday afternoon. Not that she necessarily wouldn’t want anyone talking about it. She pulled in about $1.28 million last quarter, bringing her total take to $2.4 million, with $2.1 million on hand.
The $1.28 million figure is quite similar to her fellow top-of-the-ticket democratic candidate, for Senate in this case, Kendrick Meek’s $1.2 million. Though, the real comparison will be when Republican Gov candidate Bill McCollum releases his numbers.
Update: The Buzz says a source is claiming McCollum only raised about $1.05 million this quarter. Ouch. They point out that some of Sink’s cash was rolled over from her CFO bid.
