File this under when a deal sounds too good to be true, it usually is. You can ignore the end of the following paragraph; it turns out the folks over at 100 Montaditos got a little ahead of themselves. They have decided not to run Dollarmania every day; the $1-for-all-montaditos deal will, as at the Midtown outlet, be available Wednesdays only.
Last week we noted the opening of 100 Montaditos at the corner of 15th Street and Washington Avenue in South Beach. Montaditos are sandwiches made on warm Spanish roll with various fillings of meats, cheeses, sauces and toppings. Some of the hundred sandwiches on the menu are always a dollar, but the combination montaditos can cost up to $2.50. >
