They've been busy over at the Restaurant at the Setai, reworking the menu, adding a weekly "Summer at the Setai" prix fixe menu and wine specials, and gearing up for a three-day-a-week "Balinese Hour" in the Bar & Courtyard.
Top toque Jonanthan Wright has come up with menu newbies such as steamed mussels with lemongrass, Thai green curry with hearts of palm, and house-made ramen noodles with poached egg. The prix fixe summer menu costs $50 per person and changes weekly, offering an array of small bites plus a choice from among three appetizers, entrées, and desserts.
On the wine side, sommelier Dwayne Savoie has chosen 60 wines from around the world with scores of 90 or higher from Wine Spectator and sells them for 40 percent off the regular price. Come July 16, the Balinese Hour (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:30 to 8:30 p.m) will see Balinese musicians performing in the Bar & Courtyard, along with special cocktail and munchies menus plus complimentary satays, for all of you who are tired of being too damn busy.
