Bloody marys aside, Sundays at the South Beach staple are historically indulgent. Think myriad stations and dishes ranging from prime rib and whole roast pork, paella, handmade pasta made to order, custom omelets, and a medley of sweet treats such as Nutella waffles, fluffy pancakes, and crepes. This brunch caters to all appetites and moods. Patrons range from hotel guests vacationing on Ocean Drive to locals looking for a quick escape.
Begin by choosing your brunch location. Take your pick at any dining-room table reserved for all Sunday diners or ask for service at a low bed or cabana on the sand. From any seat, the DJ and various live entertainment acts on the beach are visible.
Then begin feasting. Take advantage of limitless visits to the brunch buffet for $49.95.
For those in the mood for a breakfast-style brunch, start at the made-to-order omelet station. Decide between whole cracked, farm-fresh eggs or egg whites, with a choice of toppings such as spinach, bell peppers, smoked ham, and a Jack-and-cheddar-cheese blend. To add sides for your omelet, visit a slew of other breakfast stations, with dishes including roasted potatoes, hash browns, smoked bacon, country sausage links, and French toast with maple syrup.
On the lunch side, consider the carving station with a medley of meats including roasted chicken, prime rib, and beef. There is a sushi station with various masagos, sushi rolls, and hand rolls; a Vietnamese station with an assortment of Vietnamese ingredients to make a custom bowl of soup; a salmon station; a mixed salad station; and a paella station, featuring a traditional large paella pan brimming with rice, jumbo shrimp, roasted peppers, sweet peas, chicken, and other ingredients.
There is a cheese-and-bread display with baguettes, assorted baked flavored breads, and artisan bread loaves. Pair a slice with a choice of cheese and top it with an oil or glaze. There's also a fruit stand where guests can request fruits to be cut to order.
Whether your meal is breakfast or lunch, one of 14 of Nikki Beach's new bloody marys is sure to pair nicely. For an extra $7 each, try bloody mary spins including the BLT mary with bacon, poured-over vodka, and garnished cherry tomatoes; then there's the Japanese mary, with blazing wasabi, fish sauce, and rice wine vinegar; or the skinny mary, with a health-conscious lower-sodium bloody mary mix served with vodka and topped with fresh carrot, celery, lemon, and cucumber. There's also a build-your-own-mary option too, where you can select from fresh ingredients and pair with a choice of liquor.
But arguably the best part of Nikki's brunch is the variety of sweet stations. Order a fresh crepe or Belgian waffle and top it with ingredients like warm Nutella, strawberry sauce, blueberries, raspberries, sliced bananas, or house-made dulce de leche. There's also a dessert display with cakes and mini treats baked fresh in house. Weekly selections vary but may include sacher tortes, mini key lime pies, cream puffs, éclairs, macaroons, baked cookies, and French apple tarts.
Brunch is served Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
