The high-end candy retailer and bistro is best known for its celebrity fans, many of which have been photographed with its lollipops that retail for $26 and feature a jewel-studded handle and case so you don't get your designer handbag sticky. Sugar Factory fans include Drake, Katy Perry, and Nicki Minaj. Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger, Mel B., Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and Hello Kitty have all lent their names to the pops for special editions.

Sugar Factory, which has restaurants in Chicago and New York (with Orlando opening soon), is coming to Miami Beach. South Florida's first location, inside the Hotel Victor on Ocean Drive, is scheduled to open June 2015, with a grand opening party hosted by Kylie Jenner Friday, June 19. The 17-year-old, who's recently been in the news for her plump lips, will hand out her own signature pops at the event. A second location is slated to open on Lincoln Road this summer.

The 5,000-square-foot brasserie and retail store at the Victor will include a 201-seat dining room and two patios overlooking Ocean Drive. The restaurant will feature items such as mac 'n' cheese pops ($11), a pizza burger ($16), and a slew of pancakes, steak-frites, and sandwiches, but it's the decadence for which this place is known.

Sugar Factory's cocktails are candy inspired (and gigantic). The 60-ounce creations include the Lollipop Passion — a fruity blend of melon, coconut, and pineapple topped with lollipops. The Ocean Blue features gummy sharks swimming around its ocean-hued depths.
Chocolate fondues range from $25 for a basic treat for two to a $1,000 version that includes gold-dusted strawberries and gummy bears for dipping and a bottle of 2002 Dom Pérignon for sipping. The King King sundae costs $99 and includes 24 scoops of ice cream — enough for a dozen hungry people to devour.

The adjacent retail shop will offer bulk candy and childhood favorites, as well as decidedly adults-only offerings such as Playboy gummies and the above-mentioned crystal-encrusted pops that have become a fashion accessory of sorts.

With all of that excess and glitz, it's a wonder it took Sugar Factory this long to take over Miami. Founder Charissa Davidovici says, "We're ecstatic about our first South Florida location right in the heart of Miami Beach. Sugar Factory Ocean Drive is the perfect spot to bring locals and tourists into the colorful brasserie to enjoy decadent sweets, treats, and eats."
