Nothing says summer in South Florida like heat, humidity, and hurrica —
Scratch that. Too depressing.
Nothing says summer in South Florida like barbecue. (Editor’s note: Much better.) So to take your mind off the heat, humidity, and possibility of some giganto storm coming ashore in your living room, Sra. Martinez is dishing up Tuesday-night all-you-can-eat Spanish barbecue, as well as a weeknight 5 to 7 p.m. happy hour.
The Tuesday ‘cue fest features different side dishes and proteins each week (it kicked off with a Cuban pig roast slow-cooked in a cajachina), runs from 6 to 10:30 p.m., and costs $35 per person. As for the happy hour, it boasts half-price beers and cocktails plus a special menu of cold tapas available from 5 to 6 p.m.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,800 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Actually, nothing says summer in South Florida like an ice-cold beer and plate of tapas.
