The Joyce will open on Friday, January 10, along Española Way in South Beach. It joins its sister burger spot, the Window at the Joyce, which opened in December 2024.
The restaurants mark the first venture from Spicy Hospitality Group, Taylor's new partnership with art collector Andre Sakhai and entrepreneur Marc Lotenberg.

Chef James Taylor will open the Joyce in South Beach next to the Window at the Joyce, which has a cute walk-up window.

From Walk-Up Window to Fine Dining
Taylor spent nearly three years perfecting his burger recipe before opening the Window at the Joyce, which serves American classics from its walk-up counter with outdoor tables on Española Way. The menu includes a "Joyce Single" burger made with sharp American cheese, with options to make it as a double patty or with a vegetarian Impossible patty. The spot also offers a crisp snapper sandwich, housemade chicken nuggets with honey mustard and wings with house hot sauce or garlic parmesan."We want to create spaces where locals and visitors alike can experience top-tier dining without the premium price tag, which is something that's not often found in Miami Beach," says Sakhai. This same ethos will be behind its swankier sister restaurant, the Joyce.

The Joyce will display rotating artwork from art dealer Sakhai's private collection.

The Joyce Will Open With a Moody Dining Room and Elevated Classics
At the Joyce, Taylor adds plates like Ossetra caviar with traditional latkes, creamed kale with Saint Andre cheese, and hand-cut tagliolini pomodoro with aged Parmigiano Reggiano. The steak program features prime cuts like a wet-aged,18-ounce Chicago cut ribeye and a six-ounce Japanese A5 tenderloin, served with optional sauces like au poivre or caviar butter.Seafood options include local crudo with espelette and a shrimp cocktail, while sides range from hand-cut fries with a caramelized onion aioli to French beans almondine with shallots and chablis. Japanese mixologist Takuya Mizuguchi created the cocktails, while Miami wine pro Andrew Herron assembled the Joyce's wine collection with more than 100 bottles.
