Michelle Bernstein had wanted to name her upcoming Design District restaurant “Buena Vista”, as it is located in the historic Buena Vista Post Office, and would also fit the Spanish nature of the place. Alas, there is already a Buena Vista Cafe, so Michelle has decided to call her tapas eatery Sra. Martinez -- in honor of her partner in marriage and business, David Martinez. As Milton Berle once told a waiter friend of mine in response to being asked if he wanted French bread: “I don’t care what language it speaks, as long as it tastes good.”
