Michelle Bernstein to Host Michy's Pop-Up Dinner at Crumb on Parchment

Miami's culinary darling is hosting a special pop-up dinner this Friday, and it looks like it's been flying under the radar.

This Friday, at 7:30 p.m., Bernstein will put on the four-course tasting menu with table-side plating at her Design District bistro, Crumb on Parchment. She will personally explain each of the courses to diners.

According to David Martinez, Bernstein's life-and-business partner, the evening will feature "all new dishes we have never done before."

However, Martinez made it clear that the dishes "will not be previews of dishes on Michelle's restaurant menus, but may be an idea for some of the dishes. Michelle likes to play with new things constantly, so it will be a really fun menu."

The special pop-up menu includes wild mushroom fideo made in the style of a noodle Paella, with crunchy mushrooms, tempura shiso and a porcini truffle sauce.

Each course will be paired with a "very adventurous" wine, and diners will receive a take-home assortment of baked goods.

Tickets for the dinner are $110 each and include wine pairings, tax, and gratuity. They're available only through Gilt City.

Michy's closed in June of this year for a refresh. According to chef Bernstein it was "time for us to change the look and feel of the restaurant and provide our guests with a fresh, new concept. We embrace new projects and feel the Michy's space and our restaurant team deserve something new and exciting."

Let's hope this pop-up is a sign that Michy's is close to announcing a reopening date.
