Last evening, we received a Facebook invitation from Jeff McInnis to “like” a new restaurant. We immediately clicked over to the page and discovered that the handsome chef is opening a restaurant in New York’s Alphabet City neighborhood.

Root & Bone, to be located at 200 E 3rd Street, is a collaboration between McInnis and Janine Booth. Booth and McInnis worked together in Miami at various restaurants.
The two chefs have something else in common – Top Chef. While McInnis is an alum of the Bravo cooking competition, Booth is a current competitor.

Although the menu isn’t set, look out for fried chicken, as evidenced by McInnis’s Starchefs demo.
The restaurant is set to open early 2014 — enough time to plan a trip to New York for a much-needed fried chicken run!
