First Watch has just opened at the Shops of Kendall at 12516 SW 88th St., with its signature Benedicts, French toast, pancakes, and power bowls.
The opening marks the mega breakfast, brunch, and lunch chain’s 126th location in Florida, with a future spot opening at the Falls in Miami coming soon. The new breakfast spot can accommodate 180 patrons along with outdoor dining in its patio area, which comes just in time for cooler temperatures in Kendall.

On the extensive menu at First Watch, guests can select various breakfast and lunch options, along with a slew of beverages.The Benedicts, served on ciabatta bread instead of an English muffin, are the classic with smoked ham, tomatoes, cage-free eggs, whipped butter, lemon dressed mixed greens, and Hollandaise, plus the BLT with bacon and avocado and the smoked salmon with onions which swap out the protein in the classic Benedict. Other “egg-clusive” dishes include the Chickichanga made with cage-free eggs, spicy, all-natural chicken breast, chorizo, green chiles, cheddar and Monterey Jack, onions, and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla, then topped with vera cruz sauce and sour cream, and served with seasoned potatoes.
Hungry diners can also indulge in omelets and frittatas such as "the Works" with ham, bacon, sausage, house-roasted crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, and topped with sour cream or the "Frittata Rustica," which is a classic Italian-style omelet with kale, roasted crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes topped with mozzarella and parmesan and served with ciabatta toast and lemon-dressed organic mixed greens.
Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in pancakes, waffles, and French toast like "the Floridian French Toast," made with thick-cut brioche covered with fresh banana, kiwi, and seasonal berries, then lightly dusted with powdered cinnamon sugar.
Power Bowls and Plenty of Mimosas for Brunch
On the lunch side, the restaurant offers power bowls, sandwiches such as the "Monterey" with turkey, bacon, avocado, organic mixed greens, tomato, Monterey Jack and mayo on sourdough, and salads like the "Sweet Honey Pecan Salad" with organic mixed greens, romaine, all-natural chicken breast, bacon, toasted pecans, avocado, tomatoes and carrots with cheddar and Monterey Jack drizzled with warm honey dijon dressing.For brunch, First Watch offers mimosas and bloody marys as brunch cocktails, as well as numerous freshly squeezed juices, coffees, and soft beverages.
The chain has over 500 locations across 29 states and does not show signs of slowing down anytime soon.
