How many margaritas is too many margaritas? Well, when you start falling face first off the freaking stage in the middle of burping your way through “Magaritaville,” it’s probably time to pack up your shaker of salt.
Yesterday, Jimmy Buffett took a dangerous dive during a concert at Sydney, Australia’s Hordon Pavilion, smashing his head on the ground. The pilot, novelist, restauranteur, jingle writer, and all-around party dude was immediately rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital and admitted for observation.
But all you parrotheads shouldn’t let this worrying news harsh your mid-afternoon buzz. The official word is Jimmy’s OK.
The Magaritaville website reports: “Update from Australia: As you probably already know, Jimmy had an accident while performing in Sydney last night and was taken to the hospital. The doctors say he is doing well and will be released tomorrow. More info as we get it, and thank you for all of your well-wishes!”
