When a homie loses his life in the streets, there are all kinds of ways to honor his memory.
You could say a prayer. Get a tattoo. Empty a 40 oz. bottle of Olde English on his grave. Organize an annual celebration of his enduring legacy. Write a musical tribute.
Or, like Tupac Shakur‘s former rap crew The Outlawz, you could roll up a big fat blunt, sprinkle in some of your dead friend’s ashes, and smoke that shit.
In a video interview with Vlad.TV, Outlawz members Young Noble and E.D.I. confirm that the rapland rumor about an ashy Makaveli joint is indeed fact, not fake.

“Yeah, it’s definitely true,” Noble insists. “We had a little memorial for him with his mom, his family, and shit. We hit the beach, do a lot of the shit he liked on the beach. Some weed, some chicken wings. He loved orange soda and all that kind of shit. Pac loved that kind of shit. So we was just giving him our own farewell that night.”
E.D.I. cuts into the conversation, explaining: “Pac came up with that shit. If you listen to ‘Black Jesus,’ he says, ‘Last wishes, niggas/Smoke my ashes.’ So that was a request that he had. Now, how serious he was about it … We took the shit serious.”
So serious, in fact, they seriously did it. “We twisted up some of that great grandaddy California kush and mixed the big homie with it,” Noble says, concluding, “So you know, he flowin’ through our system. Ya heard.”
