In celebration of 7-7-07, The Firefly hosted Purple Sabbath, an exhibit featuring works by Miami and Gainseville artists. Those who displayed artwork include Lisa, Julio, Ernesto, EJ, Nancy, and more. Admission to the event was one Lucky 7 scratch-off ticket, and all winnings were to be divided equally amongst patrons. So did the group walk away a couple hundred bucks richer? Not really. In the end, winnings amounted to $12 and a free ticket. — Alexandra Quinones
