Short Order was shopping at the newest Publix on Miami Beach and was shocked to see the Arctic scene taking place in the ice cream section. Since this location debuted a few months ago, it has been our go-to Publix in the 33139 hood. We have been impressed by the wide aisles, prolific organic selection, gourmet sandwich station, and general cleanliness of the nascent supermarket. That’s why we were so surprised to see icicles and freezer burn surrounding our favorite brands of ice cream yesterday. We haven’t seen this much frozen precipitation since our last trip to Aspen. And there’s no telling how that icy rum raisin is going to taste now. At the very least, we know where we will be keeping cool as the mercury rises this summer.
