We are kicking off our year-end campaign at New Times. By December 31, we’re aiming to raise $30,000 to power our work into the new year.
It’s a bold goal, but we believe we’ll get there with the support of our incredible community.
Our theme for this drive is “When news happens, New Times is there.” For nearly 40 years, in good times and bad, New Times has gone where the mainstream media fear to tread, and has done so without a paywall, completely free. Rather than report events merely because they happen, we dig into the topics we believe are significant and do our utmost to unpack them in a way that makes sense to our readers.
That was especially true this year.
When federal and state officials descended on South Florida ballyhooing their efforts to rid our communities of “the worst of the worst,” we revealed the facts lurking behind their misdirection.
When Florida struck down “open carry” throughout the state, we helped you plan your shopping choices.
We’re there when you need to escape the daily doomscroll, too — whether your antidote of choice leans to art, yoga, a great meal, or something a wee bit stronger.
If our work has informed, inspired, or empowered you this year, I hope you’ll consider making a contribution today and becoming a member. Our members power us. The contributions we bring in through this program help us remain sustainable. Every gift brings us closer to our $30,000 goal and helps us serve South Florida even better in 2026.
Thank you in advance for being part of our community. This work doesn’t happen without you.
