According to the News-Press, University of Miami will at 1 p.m. officially announce Mark Whipple as their new offensive coordinator. Whipple was previously with the Philadelphia Eagles. I'd be a lot more excited about this if the Eagles didn't just get beatwn by the friggin' Cardinals, of all teams, but I'm sure that's not Whipple's fault. He was with the Eagles for only a season, and before that, he had stints with the Steelers and UMass (as head coach of the Division I-AA team).
He'll be the Canes' fourth offensive coordinator in five seasons, which is sort of insane and one of the things that explains their showing these past few seasons. Let's hope this will be a good fit for all concerned.
